Mira curates your photos entirely on your device. It does not collect your data, it does not upload your photos, and it does not require an account. There are no analytics, tracking, or advertising services in the app.
What Mira accesses, and why
- Your photo library (read). Mira analyzes the photos already in your library — on your device — to find your best shots and remove blurry frames, duplicates, and near-identical bursts. This analysis uses Apple's on-device Vision framework and PhotoKit. Your photos are read on the device and are never transmitted off it.
- Saving a new album (write), only when you ask. When you tap Save, Mira creates a new album in your Photos library containing the photos you chose to keep. This is a local operation within your own Photos library.
What Mira does not do
- No uploads. Your photos are never sent to Mira, to us, or to any server or cloud service. Curation happens locally on your device.
- No account, no sign-in. Mira does not create a profile or require you to register.
- No analytics or tracking. Mira contains no analytics, crash-reporting, advertising, or user-tracking SDKs, and does not track you across other apps or websites.
- No data collection. Mira collects no personal data. Because nothing is collected or transmitted, there is nothing for us to sell, share, or retain.
Information stored on your device
To work smoothly, Mira stores a small amount of information on your device only, using the app's own storage (iOS UserDefaults):
- A list of album identifiers for albums Mira has created, so the Recent tab can find them again.
- Records of curations Mira couldn't turn into a standard album (for example, when all the photos are in an iCloud Shared Library), so they still appear in Recent.
This information stays on your device, is accessible only to Mira, and is removed when you delete the app.
Children's privacy
Mira collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
